Obligatory "Please click on my Google Ads" post
So I am trying to hit $150 by the end of the month via Google Ads. We need $17 more so please click on some of those Google Ads down there to the left. Booker appreciates it!

Fish info from Traitor Joe's website
My favorite fish to devour are Chilean sea bass and orange roughy. Did you know that Chilean sea bass is one of the most sought-after fish in the world? They are so scarce, I have to hire pirates to help me catch them and secretly put them on store shelves. Unless people stop eating Chilean sea bass, it may become commercially extinct within five years. Whoa! Maybe I can sell more and more and...

Booker is super close to maintenance!
We took Booker in for his final chemo treatment in phase 2 today. He did great and wanted to eat the second he got home. He’s pretty out of it but food is always the most important thing. We go in next week for a check up and then he starts maintenance. He will have treatment once every 3 weeks for a year and then goes to once a month. It’s bittersweet because there’s a rough...

57 Health Benefits of Going Vegan →
This is a GREAT article on the benefits of following a vegan diet. It answers a lot of questions that my non-veg friends frequently ask. This being a popular one: “How do you get protein?” Animal proteins. The average American eats twice as much protein as necessary for a healthy diet and much of that is from red meat. Getting protein from beans and grains is much healthier and...

Google ads: let's do this!
Hey if you’re reading, would you mind clicking on some of those annoying Google ads to the bottom left? We have about $120 raised from this and want to be able to pay for a chemo treatment. It’s free for you to do! Thanks!

Evan Smith: 10 Great Interviewing Tips
Last week I went to the Austin Association of Women in Communication monthly luncheon where Evan Smith (president and editor-in-chief at Texas Monthly) was the speaker. His topic was “10 Great Interviewing Tips” since he has had a ton of experience interviewing guests for the Texas Monthly Talks (which recently celebrated 200 episodes). Evan was a great speaker! He started out with a...

Email from our neighborhood Yahoo group.
This woman was complaining about her neighbors dogs barking. I am not sure why she thinks she can’t go talk to the neighbor and will probably just call the cops instead, even though someone on the list already wrote back and recommended she talk to the neighbor directly. People are weird. Email: The woman living there seems really aware & apologetic of the dogs barking and has come out...

No chemo today.
I dropped Booker off early this morning. After they did blood work they found out his counts are too low (3,000) and the cut off is 3,500. We will have to wait another week to do this. He’s doing good though. It sucks that even a visit without chemo is $90. Please keep clicking on the Google ads, we appreciate it.

Final week of phase 2
This is a big week. On Thursday Booker will have his final round of chemo before he starts maintenance. Maintenance will be chemo once every 3 weeks rather than every week. Unfortunately, Thursday he will be there all day because they have to put him under. He’s been through this once before and it makes him a little sick so I will be home with him that evening. Last week we had some...
